Role Summary
The Industrial Base Study Lead is responsible for leading a small team of analysts to research and analyze Department of Defense (DoD) Industrial Base risks across multiple supply chain tiers for critical military applications and provide recommendations for risk mitigation. The Study Lead provides technical guidance and applies project management skills to successfully develop and deliver professional-grade final briefings (PowerPoint) and written reports (Word) to the client. The purpose and scope of the studies varies significantly and requires the Study Lead to have a wide ranging analytical capability (Deep Generalist) to evaluate and identify the best data sources and analysis to meet the study objectives, as well as flexibility to pivot efforts based on new insights. The role will primarily be remote and enabled by virtual team meetings (e.g., MS Teams) with occasional travel to DoD customers and supply chain entities in support of specific studies.

Required
- Able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) and be fingerprinted in order to obtain the appropriate Clearance level
- Minimum 3 years working with federal clients or having been a civil servant or in the military
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience to include significant and recent experience in any of the following relevant technical areas: policy analysis and research, supply chain, acquisition, manufacturing, operations research, economics, international trade, or materials engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Effective communication with clients and study stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience leading a project team
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in MS Office products, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Desired
- Curiosity in understanding complex defense Industrial Base problems and risks
- Technical writing skills
- Minimum of a SECRET DoD security clearance
- Advanced problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
