Industrial Balance And Vibration Technician

A little about us:

Prime Machine, Inc. was created in 1979 to provide emergency Industrial Equipment Repair and New Component Fabrication Services to a wide range of Customers statewide and beyond. We currently provide Large and Small Machine Shop Services, Welding Fabrication, Millwright Field Services, Gearbox Repair, and State-of-the-Art Laser Inspection Services. Our major Customers are found in Mining, Power Generation, Aerospace & Defense, and other critical Industries.

What a Balance and Vibration Technician does at Prime Machine:

• • Preparation of detailed machinery condition assessment reports
  • Troubleshoot Machines problems using predictive maintenance technology, ultra sonic, vibration, infrared thermography, and oil analysis methods
  • Perform precision rotating shaft alignments
  • Field dynamic balancing of rotors
  • Collect and analyze machine test data from one or more of the PDM Technologies
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors and Reliability Engineers, assisting with machinery decisions, related to equipment's fitness for service, shop repair procedures and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Perform and/or assist in the performance of online vibration monitoring system specification, installation, commissioning, and subsequent system monitoring and maintenance.

What Prime needs to be a great fit:

• General machine shop and/or fabrication experience
• Prior Training in Balance and Vibration a huge plus
• Mechanical aptitude
• Flexible
• Ability to learn and think outside the box
• High School diploma
• Prior trade school knowledge in the manufacturing, fabrication, and machine repairs preferred
