Range Safety Officers (RSO's) are responsible for observing shooters using the indoor shooting range, enforcing safety rules, and ensuring that our customers enjoy a safe and family-friendly shooting experience. The day-to-day duties include:
- Greeting shooters, directing them to their assigned lanes, and observing their shooting activities.
- Ensuring a safe environment by enforcing basic firearms handling standards, tactfully intervening when unsafe handling occurs, communicating concerns with other RSO staff and range management.
- Maintaining range cleanliness, hanging targets, keeping the floor cleared of spent shell casings, and general housekeeping activities.
- Attention to detail - RSO's are expected to maintain focus on the people and gun handling. Distractions (texting, extended interaction with individual shooters, etc.), shooting while on duty, handling of customer's firearms, and attempts to instruct (beyond safe shooting guidance) are to be strictly avoided.
