Independent Resolution Specialist (Greater Houston Residents)

We are a dynamic, quickly growing company based in Bellaire, TX. We provide medical billing services to numerous healthcare facilities to allow the physicians and nursing staff to focus on providing quality care to their patients.

Position Summary (Purpose)

The Independent Resolution Specialist (Claims) is required to perform collection activities on NSA Negotiations (We will teach you) and prepare complex Center for Medicare Services requests.

To succeed in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of medical insurance policies. The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as they will be communicating with various insurance companies. This position requires an individual that can multi-task, problem solve, and manage time effectively.

Pay: $16-18.00 DOE

Job Requirements/Qualifications

· 1 YEAR OF MEDICAL INSURANCE COLLECTION EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED).

· Excellent organization, time management, self-starting, analytical, and detailed

· Insurance Negotiation experience

· Knowledge of insurance plans providers- BCBS, UHC, Aetna/Cigna or self-funded/commercial providers required

· Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, Collections, and Hospital Billing Experience

· REQUIRED Knowledge of EOB'S, HIPPA, ICD-10 codes, and CPT codes.

Essential Job functions and responsibilities

· Investigates, and responds to inquiries from payors

· Researches error & makes necessary corrections for clean claim production & submission

· Actively follow-up and negotiate on all assigned payers, and facilities

· Follow up on posting errors

· Review Insurance EOB and initiate appeals, negotiations, Center of Medicare Service Complaints as necessary

· Resolves insurance requests, inquiries, concerns, in an expedient and respectful manner

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
