As an Independent Living Facilitator (ILF) you will provide for the care, fellowship, and protection of persons with developmental disabilities while supporting them to be as independent as possible. Responsibilities
- Assisting a person with disabilities to become more active in the community:
- Helping them with their grocery shopping
- Joining them in their hobbies, entertainment, and other recreational interests they may have
- Helping them run errands
- Support with personal hygiene
- Bathing
- Oral hygiene
- Assisting on and off commode
- Changing adult briefs
- Light household work
- Meal preparation
- Lifting and transferring, sometimes with the assistance of a Hoyer lift
Full and part-time positions available. Multiple shifts available, including:
Shift 1: Monday through Friday 9:30am - 4:00pm
Shift 2: Monday through Friday 7am-12pm
Shift 3: Monday through Friday 8:30pm-10:00pm
Shift 4: All weekends Saturday and Sunday 7am-12pm
Shift 5: All weekends Saturday and Sunday 8:30pm-10pm
Shift 6: Monday through Friday 2pm-10pm
Shift 7: 2nd/4th weekends of each month, Friday 10pm through Sunday 10pm (48-hours)
Shift 8: 1st/3rd/5th weekends of each month, Saturday and Sunday 9:30am-2:30pm, 4:30pm-9:30pm (split shift)
QualificationsQualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of direct support experience
- Valid CA Driver License and proof of auto insurance
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position and a positive test for any illicit substances, including marijuana, will preclude the applicant from being considered for hire)
- In compliance with the CA Department of Public Health (CDPH) order, employees of InAlliance must be fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19. Requests for religious or medical accommodation will be considered.
