In-House Graphic Designer

About The Position

We are seeking a qualified and creative in-house Graphic Designer at our Charleston, SC or New York, NY showroom. If you excel at executing projects and thrive as an independent worker in a detail oriented and creative role, then the In-House Graphic Designer position may be the perfect fit for you. This role is based at our New York, NY showroom in Soho and will include creating branded materials across our umbrella of jewelry brands. A strong candidate for this role will have a collaborative mindset, be a self-sufficient executor, and have a strong work ethic.

About Us

East West Gem Co. is an e-commerce and by-appointment custom jewelry company headquartered in downtown Charleston. We are a female led and operated, growing company at this role takes place at our Charleston office in downtown King Street! We have showroom locations in Charleston, Orange County, New York, and Miami. There is opportunity to travel among locations as needed.

We lead with and truly believe in work-life balance and stick to a schedule of 8:30-5pm Monday - Friday. We communicate with clients strictly via email and occasional zoom calls.

Job Responsibilities

- Create branded social media materials

- Create seasonal lookbooks

- Create email marketing materials

- Collaborate with Creative Director to maintain visual brand identity

- Create and maintain library of brand assets

- Create assets for website across brands

Skills & Experience Desired

- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Figma, and Klaviyo

- Illustration design capabilities preferred

- A creative portfolio of prior work (required)

- Understanding of current print and visual trends

- Ability to execute projects in a timely manner

Salary: $60,000 annually (paid weekly on Fridays, W2)

Time Off and Holidays:

- Seven Holiday PTO days: New Years Day, Fourth of July, Memorial or Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and your birthday

- 1 sick day accrued per quarter

- 7 days PTO accrued on a monthly basis after your 5th month (1 day per consecutive month from month 5 - month 12)

- 7 day PTO offered starting year 2 on a non-accrual basis

Bonuses & Discounts:

- $5 a day bonus for MU videos watched ($1,300 a year)
