In-Home Childcare Provider/Nanny

We are in search of an amazing individual who will join our family as a nanny, caregiver, teammate, listener, and friend. This amazing individual will be hands-on with the children throughout the day, teaching skills, good habits, manners, kindness, strategies, and more. Start date: 4/15/24
Contract Length: 6-month, 9-month, or 12-month
Location: Harrisburg, NC (Suburb of Charlotte)
Hours: 9:00am-6:00pm
Pay: Hourly rate will be based on verifiable experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing care for the children including feeding, dressing, and supervising playtime
• Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities
• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the children
• Transporting the children to and from school and extracurricular activities
• Taking children to various appointments and activities, including playdates
• Preparing meals and snacks for the children
• Cleaning and washing up after children's meals
• Implementing and reinforcing daily routines
• Enforcing house rules and expectations
• Communicating with the Employer about the children's daily activities and any concerns
• Performing household chores such as children's laundry, sweeping, and doing dishes
• Tend to the general needs of the children while providing supervision to ensure the children's safety in day-to-day activities
• Engage children in age-appropriate work to encourage the children's intellectual development, motor skills, etc.
• Model appropriate social behaviors to encourage children's social and emotional development
• Monitor the children's behavior for irregularities pertaining to their health and well-being as well as their physical, emotional, and mental development
• In case of illness or injury, provide necessary medical attention; for example,transport the child to a doctor or hospital, take the child's temperature, andadminister medications as directed
• Instruct the children in proper health and personal care habits, such as diet andtoilet behavior; provide assistance and use as needed
• Begin teaching children to take care of their environment. Picking up play areas,putting items in correct locations, etc.
• Create a safe environment for the children by removing hazards and enforcing appropriate boundaries
• Spend time with the children outdoors; take children for walks, play in the backyard, spend time at the park, maximize time children spend outdoors.
• Meet with the Employer occasionally to reflect on and plan for the children's activities and development

Requirements
- Three full years of verifiable childcare experience
- Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Must have a valid drivers license
- CPR Certified
- NC Early Childhood Credential or willingness to achieve
- Interest in long-term employment
- Good communication skills
- Willing to learn new skills
- Loves and respects children
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Salary Description
