SUMMARY: Being a Child Care & Family Support Specialist for Along the Way is not simply a job; it’s a calling & opportunity to be a part of a mission that changes the trajectory of families’ lives.
● Start at $20/hr providing in-Home Child care, paid training, 401K, HSA; FT staff members receive 4 weeks paid time off
● Select your own shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, weekend shifts)
● PT positions (2nd, 3rd, weekend shifts)- Ideal for students, teachers, and social work professionals
● FT positions (1st, 2nd, 3rd, weekend shifts)- Ideal for case workers who want to offer preventive support to families
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
● Must be 18 years of age or older
● Must have reliable transportation to and from clients’ homes
● Able to lift, bend, and carry infants and small children (up to 50 lbs)
● Communicate effectively with diverse individuals
● Able to handle situations ranging from routine to emergency calmly and efficiently

Preferred, but not required:
● Currently enrolled in college or graduated
- Bilingual (Spanish)
REQUIREMENTS:
Caregivers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Along The Way’s policies and procedures. Most importantly, they create a positive environment in the client’s home where children are nurtured and provided with attention.
Our Caregiver’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Meeting the individual needs of the children
● Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
● Assuring completion of daily documentation for each client assignment
● Providing assistance with infants and children’s personal hygiene as needed (bathing, dressing, changing, feeding, administering medications, etc.)
● Preparing/serving meals for clients' children as needed
● Communicating appropriately and effectively with mothers, children, and fellow staff
● Participating in staff and training meetings
● Committing to continuing education/training to ensure best-in-class service for our client families
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $20.01 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
