The In-Direct Support Professional will provide support to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings, including community-based programs and residential facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and be able to provide compassionate care and support.
Responsibilities- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
- Provide transportation to appointments and community activities
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized service plans
- Document and maintain accurate records of services provided
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other team members
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
The In-Direct Support Professional must be able to lift and transfer individuals with disabilities, as well as perform other physical tasks as needed.
Work EnvironmentThe In-Direct Support Professional will work in a variety of settings, including community-based programs and residential facilities. The work environment may include exposure to individuals with challenging behaviors and/or medical conditions.
