Implementation Specialist- Washington DC
General Position Description
Now, more than ever before, healthcare supply chain and logistics managers are pressed to do more to improve their department's operational performance. Their responsibilities are expanding to include more facilities spread over larger geographies - from network hospitals to ambulatory centers and physician offices. Their staffs manage a great number and variety of products in a larger number of locations and they have significant pressure to improve operational performance against new, somewhat tangential metrics like clinical staff satisfaction and patient safety. All while reducing costs and increasing labor efficiency.
For these reasons and more, a growing number of health networks are choosing to do more with PAR Excellence. Our automation technology is not only unique in our industry but also extremely reliable and offers a proven and compelling return on investment (ROI). In response to these market dynamics, we are expanding our implementation teams in key markets.
As an Implementation Specialist with PAR Excellence Systems, you will be responsible for working both independently and as a part of a team, installing our weighted bins system in healthcare organization across the U.S. This automated inventory system, designed specifically for healthcare is comprised of both proprietary software and hardware. The Implementation Specialist is a key member of the Client Operations team and is a critical contributor to our client's success. You can expect to be working with both client clinicians and the supply chain teams on all aspects of implementation from room design and installation to software training, as well as with internal teammates on technical support, client education, and project management.
The ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility, has an insatiable appetite for learning something new, a love of travel, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and has excellent customer service skills and follow up. New college graduates and experienced healthcare supply chain professionals can both be successful in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install PAR Excellence products and ensure proper operation of system.
  • Provide data analysis for PAR Levels, product descriptions and units of measure.
  • Provide client product training for both hardware and software.
  • Provide complete and accurate product order documentation with sufficient lead time to ensure on-time shipments.
  • Work with PAR Excellence technical support to assist with resolving issues while on-site with clients.
  • Create accurate drawings and related documents regarding each PAR Location installation.
  • Assist Implementation and/or Assigned Project Managers with overall project management and documentation.
  • Serve as lead Implementation Specialist for some installations.
  • Achieve 75% billable time to clients.
  • Maintain PIV card and access to VHA network if required for assigned accounts.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Extensive travel required.(75%)

Required Education, Credentials, and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 to 5 years of healthcare supply chain experience a plus
  • Healthcare Capital Equipment Installation experience a plus
