Purpose:
The EDI Implementation Specialist will oversee all aspects of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes to ensure smooth communication and data exchange between our company and external partners. The ideal candidate should possess a robust understanding of EDI standards and protocols, along with hands-on experience in EDI mapping and troubleshooting.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure proper configuration and setup of EDI tools and systems facilitating file transfer between internal and external trading partners.
- Document processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats.
- Contribute to the development of our EDI strategy, driving optimizations while closely integrating with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Develop, test, and implement EDI transaction maps.
- Take ownership of setting up new trading partners, executing mapping, testing, go-live, and coordinating project timelines for seamless customer launches.
- Liaise directly with customers and 3PL’s to resolve EDI setups and challenges.
- Perform daily activities including serving as the initial contact for troubleshooting inquiries, monitoring document transmissions, and identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Act as a liaison with Sales, Finance, and IT teams to resolve EDI issues and missing data/cross references.
- Stay abreast of all order processing standards and participate in order processing as required.
- Conduct root cause analysis on errors and obstacles to rectify business processes.
Job Requirements (KSAOs):
- Strong knowledge of Lanham EDI (Must).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Familiarity with other leading EDI platforms (SPS, Truecommerce, etc.).
- Experience working with 3PL’s on EDI goals and integrations.
- Knowledge of EDI and Business Central e-commerce best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking ability.
- Ability to multitask on various projects and manage multiple accounts.
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
Specifications (Minimum Requirements):
- Minimum of five years of experience in EDI with implementation and mapping, particularly with AS2 and SFTP protocols.
- Ability to read and understand EDI data formats such as X12, XML, and flat files.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
