We are looking for a responsible, organized person to join our Imaging Scheduling team.
Position Summary:
The Imaging Scheduler is responsible for all areas concerning the coordination of patient imaging needs, including providing patient education, coordinating with hospitals, and scheduling.
- Scheduling MRI’s, CTs, and other imaging studies and follow up appointments.
- Following proper guidelines and requirements for physician’s schedules.
- Clear and pleasant communication with patients and other facilities.
- Interfacing with Billing Department for prior authorizations.
- Verify eligibility and coordinate office and hospital procedures with third parties.
- Go over estimated prepay amounts with patients.
- Understands and maintains the importance of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
- Must be able to work in the Johnson City Office.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors a Plus.
- Strong computer and EMR skills.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Strong insurance knowledge preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and other outside agencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
