IM Specialist (Data)-Plymouth Meeting, PA

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining computer software and information systems and facilitating related training; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the assigned function; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
- Responsible for the modernization and development of data workflows and in-house applications at the agency. Retrofits older in-house applications and data structures to more modern methodologies. Also develops new applications in these methodologies. This modernization is often, but not exclusively, cloud-based in some aspect.
- Designs and develops reports (using SQL and other methods) and custom applications as requested for the purposes of billing for services, client medical care, tracking services, and compliance.
- Develops custom code, modules, tests, and reports for the third-party Electronic Medical Record software (currently in JavaScript).
- Designs, develops, and maintains computer software and information systems more generally - of which the following are illustrative:
Education/Training: A B.S. or B.A. degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field normally required; specialized programming education/training. Experience may be substituted for degree.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient teaching skills; proficient technical skills, including troubleshooting and knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, and web technology; moderate programming skills including knowledge of Windows-centric programming languages and systems (SharePoint, Power BI, JavaScript, .NET, Visual Basic etc.); knowledge of data structuring (SQL), data based functionality and data extraction.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' related experience normally required.
