- Collaborate on diverse data science projects involving statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analytics in various domains, including mental and behavioral health, genomics, and translational research.
- Utilize tools like Python and R for sophisticated data analysis and manipulation.
- Apply basic principles of data science methodologies, including algorithms and data structures, to solve complex problems.
- Perform data wrangling and preprocessing, ensuring high standards of data quality and consistency across various research initiatives.
- Work on integrating and harmonizing various data sources to enhance research accuracy and utility.
- Uphold data science best practices, ensuring robust validation, analysis, and documentation, while receiving mentorship and guidance.
- Support senior Data Scientists in pioneering research across the multiple domains of the data sciences, including bioinformatics, biomedical informatics, AI, ML, LLMs, NLP and cloud computing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Master’s degree in data science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Clinical Informatics, or Statistics (with a focus on data analysis, machine learning, bioinformatics or similar). Expertise:
- 1+ years of experience in data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling, machine learning, and related data science techniques.
- Strong foundational mathematical and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, able to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.
- A strong desire to learn and grow your data science expertise, working in a highly collaborative culture focused on team accomplishments.
- Experience in bioinformatics is a plus but not required.
- A collaborative problem-solver, eager to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
