Collaborate with training providers, employers, and IET Coordinator to develop program goals. Develop contextualized lesson plans tailored to specific industries.
Incorporate online learning platforms into student learning experiences.
Conduct candidate interviews and provide recommendations for potential IET instructors.
Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new IET instructors.
Coordinate and manage student orientations to foster a smooth transition into the IET programs. Provide learner supports to help students navigate IET programming.
Administer and proctor placement exams for potential students.
Represent the program to other departments within the College and external partners.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience collaborating with diverse populations, understanding and respecting varied values and cultures.
Minimum of two years of experience in instructing adult education students in ELL or GED/HiSET. Minimum of two years of curriculum development experience.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and manage time efficiently.
Proficiency in integrating technology tools and resources into ESL curriculum.
Proficiency in utilizing current software applications (i.e. Microsoft Teams).
Ability to communicate fluently in a language other than English.
Proficiency in utilizing student records databases such as Banner, TopsPro Enterprise, or similar systems.
Experience with developing or teaching industry-specific ELL or ABE courses.
