Position Description
Job Summary
In this position, you will deploy, integrate,configure,and provide moderately complex, routine and varied consultation, project management, and operational support of Identity & Access Management applications and services. Key technologies used and supported include Shibboleth and Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle databases, as well as a variety of AWS technologies and services.This position is eligible for remote work pursuant to Cal Poly's Telecommuting and Remote Work Guidelines and the CSU policy requiring that all work be performed within the State of California.
Department Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) is a fast-moving team that is responsible for helping Cal Poly achieve academic excellence through developing and implementing learning, teaching, and administrative solutions which leverage technology that align with strategic goals and objectives. With a focus on continuous improvement, ITS fosters innovation, supports continuous learning, and develops people to their full potential. Our team of more than 170 professionals works in a DevOps environment to shape the technology landscape at Cal Poly.Key Qualifications
Knowledge of and expertise with Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity federation protocols and related technologies (e.g., SAML, OIDC).
Demonstrated ability to integrate IT applications with IAM services, APIs, databases, and/or infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience working with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems such as Shibboleth, or similar products.
Thorough working knowledge of core identity management concepts, capabilities, and supporting business practices for identity registration, proofing, record matching, lifecycle management, credential assignment, and authentication.
Demonstrated skills using database/query languages to store, manipulate, and retrieve data (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or Aurora).
Demonstrated experience withAWS tools, services, and frameworks (preferred).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Salary and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Range: $85,000 - $100,000 per year
Classification Range: $52,464 - $129,504 per year
