Position: Licensed Mental Health Counselor/Therapist - Independent Contractor
Reports To: Vice President
Position Description: Responsible for providing therapies to individuals, couples, groups, and families to promote ideal Mental Health and the Healing Heart Center

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
- Responsible for diagnosing and treating Mental Health disorders
- Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
- Responsible for referring clients to specialists as necessary
- Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
- Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
- Change method and degree of therapy when indicated by client reactions and needs.
Education and Experience Requirements:
·Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LISW
·Graduate from an accredited master’s social work or behavioral health education program.
·An advanced level license by a state professional certifying body that is permitted by law to provide care and services without direction or supervision.
·Master’s degree required
