Job description

UMB Institutional Banking encompasses the following areas: Corporate Trust, Specialty Trust & Agency Solutions, Fund Services, Institutional Custody, Investment Banking, Investor Solutions, Public Finance and Healthcare Services. It combines institutionally focused capabilities into one cohesive unit, serving the entire institutional marketplace from smaller correspondent banks and municipalities to the largest broker-dealers and fund companies in the United States.
This team supports the business needs and processing for Capital Markets activities, including Trading and Underwriting, acting as a liaison between sales team, clients and systems users.
As an Operations Trading Specialist, you will support and partner with Capital Markets business unit stakeholders and staff. You will work with all related to securities trading, clearance and settlement, for bank dealer activities. You will also provide back-up and overload as needed.
How you'll spend your time:

  • You will support Bank Dealer Operations, Trading, Underwriting and Settlements by processing (deliver and receive) securities via DTCC and the Federal Reserve Bank for our bank (broker) dealer.
  • You will verify that trading system security records are built accurately.
  • You will purchase and settle weekly auction of U.S. Treasury securities in addition to assisting with the trading and underwriting desk with new issue closings.

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent AND 2 years related banking, financial, or securities related experience.

Compensation Range:
Minimum: $35,700.00 - Mid Point: $47,565.00
