Overview
Job Summary
Administers Hyperbaric (HBO) therapy to patients as prescribed by the HBO physician. Performs hyperbaric chamber operations and system maintenance as required.
Essential Functions
- Assists in preparing patients for treatment.
- Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient needs including discharge planning and utilization of available resources.
- Maintains complete and accurate patient records.
- Supports clinical HBO facility accreditation.
Work requires standing approximately 5% of the time, walking 15% of the time, sitting 80% of the time. Must be able to touch or feel 95% of the time, reach 60% of the time and stoop, kneel, or crouch 5% of the time. Requires ability to talk and hear 100% of the time.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Certified and/or licensed in one of the following Physician Assistant, Respiratory Therapy, EMT/Paramedic, CMA, NA, Diver Medic, Corpsmen (military), LPN, Physical Therapy Assistant, DMT/CHT or Hyperbaric Technician required. Maintains and demonstrates competency in BLS infection control and safety required. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required.
