Job Overview:
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a data analytics professional to be part of ODM's Dashboarding Analytics Team. This position will support the Ohio's Single Benefit Pharmacy Manager (SPBM) program - the first-in-the-nation approach to Medicaid pharmacy benefits in the agency, as it transforms healthcare delivery in the state into a person-centered enterprise. As a Pharmacy Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
  • assisting in the development of tools, metrics, dashboards, and models to aid policy decision-making
  • supporting the fulfillment of approved data requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • conducting literature reviews to identify and implement best practices in program oversight
  • preparing reports related to state and federal requirements
The ideal candidates will be familiar with relational databases and demonstrate experience with data analysis. They will be self-directed and enthusiastic about conducting research to enhance program evaluation and oversight. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, GIS) is strongly preferred. Familiarity with healthcare/Pharmacy Data or policy is a plus.

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core coursework & 12 mos. exp. in one of following: Health Services administration, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, public administration, allied health sciences, nursing, economics, public health, or comparable field; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in research methodology, measurement & testing, analysis of variance & survey sampling; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in use of computer programs/applications used for spreadsheets, statistical analysis & graphics presentation & word processing; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in multiple regression or multivariate analysis.
