Demand Planning Analyst

Improving working capital turnover is an important objective of the company to be more healthy/strong capital structure. This position contributes to achieve this objective through appropriate supply planning of Projectors, Lens and Lamp products which account for a large portion of purchasing amount and inventory balance.
This position is expected to: Analyze demand and supply chain transactions and performance, recognizing errors and needed corrections. Perform purchasing functions and negotiate with suppliers on price and delivery. Data input and systems maintenance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

This position is accountable for: (1) Just in time delivery to end customers, (2) Inventory Balance, and (3) Freight Cost savings

For example:

1. Improving / optimizing the flow of incoming supply
2. Analyzing demand and supply planning providing direction to team
3. Maintain and reduce cost according to purchasing guidelines and procedures.
4. Communicate with vendors on quality issues as directed by Q.C.
5. Identify areas for improvement and introduce innovative recommendations, factoring in customer needs, external approaches, data analytics, as well as industry best practices.
6. Accurate adjustment of schedules for J.I.T. deliveries
7. Good communication skills
8. Accurate data input
9. Working well with other departments

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for: (1) Supply planning to satisfy market demand, (2) Inventory control, and (3) Contact window with venders.

For example:

1. Demand planning
2. Completely understand the Demand Planning and supply chain management methods currently used.
3. Continually analyze demand, supply chain inventory levels and costs associated and provide insight into improvements.
4. Follow through on any corrective actions that have been recognized and track the results of these actions to improve future planning.
5. Perform procurement functions.
6. Order parts and services in accordance with the MRP
7. Communicate with vendors on quality issues with Q.C.
8. Expedite orders to ensure on-time-deliveries when the schedule changes.
9. Contact vendor with delivery schedules, engineering change orders, drawings, and any other purchasing related issues.
10. Handle shipping / receiving problems relating to purchase orders.
11. Incorporate inventory planning and optimization strategies into Demand Planning e.g. EOL, SKU reductions, excess and aged inventories etc.
12. Review monthly inventory and demand forecast, analyze and explain deviations from target and implement corrective measures.
13. Respond to product availability requests by reviewing and advising on inventory levels and make appropriate allocations to support sales orders.
14. Work with Production, Purchasing and S&OP Teams to resolve gaps in demand and supply.
15. Coordinate with Customer Care and Logistics to address fulfilment issues to ensure smooth and timely delivery of orders.

Hourly Wage - $28 - $34 per hour
