HVAC/Plumbing BIM Coordinator

Standard Hours:

8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday; 1 hour lunch, 40 hours per week, overtime as needed and approved by project manager(s)

Primary Job Functions:

• Work with project managers and engineers to generate drawings and details for building modeling.
• Complete basic HVAC and/or plumbing piping designs and drawings with guidance from project management and engineering teams.
• Assist in Interpretation of drawings and specs.
• Take sketches or concepts from designers and digitize them using Fabrication MEP software.
• Perform drafting assignments requiring some judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations associated with architecture and building engineering drawings.
• Work with limited supervision, edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software to achieve set results and deadlines.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings.
• Willingness to assist with any additional and reasonable duties assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

• Technical degree desired, but not required with technical experience.
• Proficient computer skills in Windows based software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude with great attention to detail.
• 2+ years of experience including:
  -CAD for building engineering documentation preparation.
  -AutoCAD and other BIM proficiency (Revit is a plus).
  -Autodesk CAD-MEP
  -Autodesk Fabrication MEP
  -Autodesk AutoCAD
  -Navisworks
  -Creation of shop drawings for HVAC and/or plumbing trades
• Full familiarity with plans, specs, details, operation, and maintenance manuals.
• Experience in Commercial Drafting for preparation of construction documents is a plus.
• Understanding of mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems and products.
• Must work well with others and contribute to the atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork that has been cultivated at H & G Systems.
