Form of workFortis Industries is interviewing for an HVAC Mechanic on our Farmers Branch, TX contract.
The ideal candidate must possess the following key responsibilities associated with this position:
- Knowledge of HVAC contractual requirements and creation of maintenance related schedules.
- Ability to respond to customer related requests in a timely manner while being thorough and organized. This includes utilization of CMMS to document all repairs, improvements, and changes to onsite building assets.
- Maintains, repairs, and ensures all equipment is in proper working condition including all components of the HVAC systems, water treatment systems, emergency generator systems, and various other mechanical systems. BAS experience a plus.
- A general understanding of Preventative Maintenance is required.
- Orders replacement items through approved purchasing protocols and works with outside vendors regarding repairs to existing equipment.
- Perform any additional duties on an "as required" basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual responsibilities. This may include grounds and custodial related duties when/where applicable.
- Issue reports and summaries as required for onsite and regional management.
- Maintains appropriate records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes. Works with onsite administrator to ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
- Assist onsite management with the creation of estimates as needed. Familiar with RS Means a plus.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- The HVAC Technician will have 2+ years’ experience in the Operations & Maintenance of building operational systems including HVAC, Fire Suppression Systems, Environmental (to include Oil Water Separator Servicing) and Water Treatment procedures.
- The HVAC Technician will be proficient with MS Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project), possess outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Additional Qualifications:
a. North American Technician Excellence (N.A.T.E.) HVACR Service Technician Certification
b. HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification
c. UA Star HVACR Mastery Certification
Other Required: Current Valid Driver’s License
HVAC Certification (if not directly listed above)
This is a union position
Rate of Pay: $32.22 per hour
