Job Description
Canyon Air Systems a division of Andersen Commercial Plumbing recognized as Southern California's Top Service Commercial Companies is currently seeking a HVAC General Manager.
The successful candidate must be capable of leading a workforce of 30 Employees. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment and has a natural ability to lead and motivate the team to learn, strive for improvement, and feel a real sense of urgency about meeting our customer needs. This position also demands diligence about tracking service delivery and financial KPI’s. The General Manager is expected to meet company goals by providing clear direction and setting a positive example for attitude, professionalism, and work ethic. The successful candidate must be able to formulate, articulate, and lead strategic and tactical efforts to drive efficiencies, sales growth, and profitability within a highly competitive HVAC market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee day-to-day operations.
· Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
· Promote a Safety-First culture.
· Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
· Prepare regular reports for upper management.
· Conduct weekly meetings with technicians.
· Develop and train technicians and staff.
· Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
· Communicate with Human Resources on employee issues.
· Evaluate employee performance and provide action items for improvement.
· Employee engagement.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Proven experience as a General Manager or similar experience.
· Experience in planning and budgeting.
· Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.)
· Problem-solving aptitude.
· Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
· Must be goal oriented and a self-starter.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Bids and proposals.
· Must have the ability to work with other employees, management, technicians, and customers.
· Must have basic sales skills.
· Must have basic reasoning skills.
· Must have basic math skills.
· Must have the ability to work with electronic devices such as computers, tablets, phones, and applications associated with these devices.
· Must be able to work with third parties, such as financial institutions,
to assist customers with financing.
· Service Titan Experience is a plus.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commercial & Residential Service HVAC as a Ops / GM.
A minimum of two years’ experience in a Sales Position.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Compensation
$130,000 - $150,000

Regularly requires sitting, squatting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting for prolonged periods of time.The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands, feet, and fingers to handle or feel objects and must be capable of bending, reaching, and crouching. Must have command of all five senses sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone. Must be able to lift to 70 pounds.
