As an apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to assist experienced professionals in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a variety of different settings. This is a highly rewarding position, with plenty of room for growth and development as you gain knowledge and experience in the field.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior HVAC technicians and supervisors to learn proper installation, repair, and maintenance techniques for a variety of different heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with HVAC systems, using both verbal and written instructions.
- Install and repair ductwork and ventilation systems, ensuring that they meet industry standards and comply with safety regulations.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of refrigeration systems, including commercial and industrial cooling equipment.
- Coordinate with other team members and contractors, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure that HVAC systems are properly integrated with other building systems.
- Keep a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Attend classes and workshops to further develop your skills and knowledge in the HVAC field, as required by the company.
- Keep the shop clean and organized.
- Notify and communicate with office personnel regarding ordering and maintaining inventory.
- Maintain and record company vehicle needs.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the job.
- Basic understanding of math and science principles.
- Physical dexterity and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

- 10 hour shift

- Monday to Friday
