A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HVAC APPRENTICE - INSTALLER HELPER

As an HVAC Apprentice, you are eager to learn! Every day, you ask questions, observe, and emulate the values of Kern Heating & Cooling. You seize opportunities to go out in the field and assist our lead installers. As you assist them and help increase their efficiency, they mentor and train you on everything from how to establish customer rapport to how to service and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment. You help to maintain properly stocked inventory levels, ensure the correct equipment is installed, and keep an organized job site. Also, you assist in properly staging jobs and completing accurate paperwork on time.

You are a hard worker who does whatever is asked of you and pays close attention to what you're being taught. Always professional, you enjoy interacting with customers and fellow employees. Adhering to a quality checklist, you exceed customer expectations by accomplishing the highest quality installations. You also participate in classes and formal exercises in order to expand your knowledge and skills. By working closely with the lead installer and installation manager, you complete jobs on time and under budget. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN HVAC APPRENTICE - INSTALLER HELPER

• General knowledge or education in the heating and air conditioning industry
• Knowledge of applicable installation and venting codes
• Mechanical inclination
• Valid driver's license

1+ years of experience in the HVAC industry is preferred but not required. EPA certification would be a bonus. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Are you highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively? Do you have a positive, can-do attitude? Are you flexible and willing to change work assignments frequently? Can you work well both independently and as part of a team? Do you have great communication skills, both verbal and written? Are you an outgoing person who thrives in a fast-paced environment? WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with flexibility based on availability.
