Human Resources/Safety Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum: High School Diploma with two to three years of related experience.

Preferred: BS/BA Degree in Human Resources or related field with three to five years of relevant experience. Prior experience working with air/water permits and OSHA related training/certification is preferred. First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for DEQ permitting, compliance and reporting.
• Assist with monthly Safety Committee meetings and safety walkthroughs.
• Coordinate the annual OSHA/DEQ/ISO 14001/ISO 9001/SWPPP/Safety training.
• Investigate work related accidents and file worker’s compensation claims.
• Maintain OSHA 300 log.
• Administer the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
• Maintain an effective personal protective equipment program.
• Ensure that certification requirements are met for First Aid Responders.
• Ensure that first-aid room is equipped per OSHA requirements.
• Assist with preparation and submission of payroll for Chatham Hourly Employees.
• Ensure employee training and evaluation requirements are met and maintain HR files.
• Coordinate the onboarding activities of new hires.
• Promote opportunities for employees to communicate with management to foster improved employee morale and to positively affect production, quality, and safety.
• Is computer literate and well versed in using Microsoft suite applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Understand and incorporate practices related to the aspects of safety.
• Is familiar with the TFC Quality and Environmental Policies and understands the impact of his/her job performance upon the quality of our products and the environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
