Human Resources Technician

The Forsyth County Department of Human Resources is seeking to hire a customer-service oriented professional for a Human Resources Technician position. This position is a Temporary PT no benefits position expected to start mid-February 2024 and end June 30, 2024 approximately 19 hours per week. This position will provide administrative support of day to day Human Resources operations including assisting with reference checks, background screenings, scanning and other administrative duties.The ideal candidate will be proficient in computer programs as well as have the ability to learn the in-house computer software. Additionally, this person must be able to communicate effectively and deliver excellent customer service to employees and the public. Effective time management skills are important as well as the ability to demonstrate ethical conduct in a technician capacity.Graduation from high school and four years of progressively responsible clerical-administrative work, preferable with one year of experience in a personnel office or;
A higher level of education may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.
Previous Human Resources experience preferred.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Facilitates the recruitment and selection process to fill vacant positions;
- Completes computer data entry and employee file maintenance;
- Assists employees and the public with personnel information
- Assists with employee or personnel-related projects and;
- Assist with various administrative tasks and duties
