HR Specialist / HR Administrator Job Description
We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team and monitor all Human Resources functions.
HR Specialist responsibilities include preparing and managing compensation and benefits packages, overseeing company policies, maintaining updated employee records and managing the payroll process. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and onboarding, familiarity with accounting and solid knowledge of labor legislation. This position is part time and reports to the Chief of Staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer compensation and benefits packages including health and life insurance programs
- Administer payroll
- Executing necessary state and/or city-mandated training
- Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
- Maintain detailed job descriptions along with salary records
- Executing and tracking vendor and insurance contracts
- Managing new hire process and onboarding
- Handling employee investment program
- Implement HR policies throughout the organization
- Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation
- Handle insurance claims and/or dispute resolutions
- Support team with various events
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor
Requirements and skills
- BSc/MSc in Human Resources or relevant field
- Three (3) years of proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
- Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
- Familiarity with full-cycle recruiting
- Familiarity with accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Team management skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
