Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role as a Human Resources Senior Manager at Amgen, you'll oversee several HR functions in a strategic capacity. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing HR strategies, leading talent acquisition efforts, driving performance management processes, and maintaining employee relations. You'll also ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, and provide guidance on complex HR issues.
This position will report to the Director HR, who oversees the strategic partnership with these two business groups within Amgen’s R&D (Development and Oncology) organization.
This role provides the opportunity to develop solutions to a variety of complex global HR challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This HRBP will use well-developed HR consulting skills to help their business clients achieve key business objectives and increase the effectiveness of their organization.
They will coach clients on a variety of HR and business-related issues to effect change in the organization.
Additional responsibilities include leading, in partnership with the relevant HR centers of expertise; leadership development, talent management, compensation strategies, engagement and retention, culture, and ongoing organizational design/workforce strategy initiatives.
Accountabilities
Consult with business leaders to identify HR challenges and opportunities and recommend thoughtful and sound solutions that fit the needs of the global clients and achieve business objectives.
Coach clients on a variety of HR and business-related issues to increase effectiveness and improve work culture.
Lead, in partnership with the relevant HR partners (COE and in Countries) development, talent management, compensation strategies, engagement and retention, culture, and ongoing organizational design/workforce strategy initiatives.
Participate as an active member of the functional senior leadership teams.
Develop and drive solutions, initiatives and programs that meet customer needs while remaining aligned with global strategies.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree & 2 years Human Resources experience
OR
Master’s degree & 4 years of Human Resources experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree & 6 years of Human Resources experience
OR
Associate’s degree & 10 years of Human Resources experience
Or
High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Human Resources experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master's degree with emphasis in such areas as organizational development, management, Human Resources, employee/labor relations, or equivalent.
8+ years of progressively complex/strategic HR experience, including organizational effectiveness, staff relations, compensation, talent development, and recruitment.
Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and develop strategic and practical solutions to tangible business challenges, sound knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and business practices related to the field of Human Resources.
Proven ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities, adapt to constantly evolving demands, and possess an intellectual curiosity, desire and ability to understand the business.
Strong analytical, problem solving, consulting, and project management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence all levels of management, and executives.
Demonstrated ability to partner well with other HR and business functions.
