Human Resources Operations Specialist, Hospitality

Work Mode: Onsite

Location:  Onsite at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

The HR Specialist - Operations provides service and process support to business unit HR, leaders and associates in the following areas: organization change process and support decision making, talent process administration, sourcing and talent acquisition system and process support, onboarding process administration, compensation administration, and associate exit process administration. Collaborate within the Group to improve the associate experience, standardize processes and systems, and improve productivity. Work directly with the business unit HR to support an HR agenda that closely supports the organizational goals.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify opportunities for HR frameworks and tools to eliminate low value-added work, improve / standardize processes and share with Hospitality HR team to support consistency in experience and achieve an increase in efficiency while ensuring compliance with external requirements and integration with the broader HR policy framework.
  • Provide specialist support in addressing routing general employee relations issues and escalating to HRBP when necessary.  Support HRBPs through documentation process and gathering information enabling them to take appropriate actions.
  • Maintain, manage, and provide proper control over HR data (employee files, I-9 verification, etc.) to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. Collaborate with Shared Services to ensure data integrity for all associate transactions.
  • Create and extract workforce reporting and analytics related to people metrics such as staffing efficiency, turnover, associate diversity composition, etc. Generate ad hoc reports for HRBP analytic requests.
  • Support associate life cycle HR processes (sourcing / talent acquisition, onboarding, learning / development, compensation / recognition, exiting, etc.) ensuring compliance with internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Act as subject matter expert in an area of HR processes such as ACT and ESP creation.
  • Manage relationships with internal customers (leaders, HRBPS and COEs Partners) and act as a business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and managing the deployment of appropriate support in delivering business strategy and plans.
  • Support business challenges by being an internal consultant, offering solutions utilizing Kohler HR Systems and reporting.
  • Provide training and coaching on HR systems and processes in a constructive way.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two or more years of progressive HR operations experience, preferably within the Hospitality field and/or Kohler Co.
  • Experience with SAP and/or HR technology required.
  • Experience with other Kohler internal systems preferred.
  • Experience with Excel required.
  • Proven ability to identify areas for process improvement and successful implementation of innovative solutions connected to business results.
  • Must display ability to confidently serve as subject matter expert and provide insight that may influence decision makers.

The salary range for this position is $56,900 - $71,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.  Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
