Position Description:
The Human Resources Onboarding Coordinator will be a member of the Human Resources, Talent Acquisition team. The HR Onboarding Coordinator will provide high quality customer service to all faculty, staff, and administrators while performing a variety of complex HR administrative duties. The primary duties include reviewing and/or creating job descriptions, creating job announcements and job requisitions, assisting departments with hiring processes, and coordinating and overseeing the I-9 E-Verification process and coordinates, reviews, and updates content for New Employee Orientation.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with individuals at all levels within the organization, both internal and external to Human Resources.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all work performed is required.
- Excellent computer skills; working knowledge of Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office software applications.
- Assist in the full onboarding and offboarding process.
- Identify/source, manage and monitor the effectiveness of recruiting sources for potential employees. This may include attendance at career fairs, university recruiting and managing relationships with employee search firms.
- Maintain internal systems for applicant tracking.
- Assist with pre-screening applicants and coordinate the scheduling of interviews.
- Perform reference verifications, applicant rejections notices and act as an ongoing liaison with pending new hires.
- Initiate and schedule background checks.
- Ability to serve as a positive, contributing member of the Human Resources Talent Acquisition team.
- Ability to prioritize and remain flexible in the performance of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Support additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and one year of clerical/office administrative experience, or
- High School Diploma/Equivalent and two years of administrative office experience
- Human Resources experience preferred i.e. talent acquisition
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Regularly works in standard office or classroom conditions and climate.
- Regularly uses close and distance vision, including working at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Frequently required to move around the office/classroom; works at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with students, fellow staff and community members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height; and to bend, to stoop, to reach, to sit on the floor, to climb stairs, to walk and to reach overhead.
