Pathways to Independence, Social Service agency located in Kearny, New Jersey Provides support to Adults with disabilities referred by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services and The Division of Developmental Disabilities is currently looking for a Human Resource Manager to join our team
FT Position, Mon–Fri (40 hours per week) No Weekends
Role:
- This person will be responsible for directly reporting to the agency’s Executive Director
- Responsibilities include recruitment, benefits administration, training, legal issues, conflict resolution, HR generalist duties, etc.
- Administer compensation and benefit plans
- Assist in recruitment processes
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Gather and analyze data
- Organize annual employee performance reviews
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
Requirements:
- Understanding of general Human Resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems is a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- BS/BA in Business administration or relevant field
- Additional HR training will be a plus
- Valid Driver’s License
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years of HR experience REQUIRED
