Summary:
1) Purpose: Under limited supervision, leads the plant Human Resources department and
related programs and functions to include but not limited to: employee relations and
engagement, hiring, orientation, training, wage and salary administration, government
compliance and communication.
2) Dimensions: Supervises HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, HR Generalist
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
1) Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active
engagement in safety activities and provide clear, consistent communication of safe work
expectations.
2) Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and
applicable laws.
3) Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are
responsible.
4) Sets goals for their organizations unit; achieves goals and ensures that all employees understand
and work toward achieving goals.
5) Plan, direct and coordinate human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of
HUMAN RESOURCES and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment,
interviewing, hiring, orientation, promotions, policies and regulatory compliance

awareness, champion of change management and team development.

7) Builds strong relationships with Business Partners and provides guidance and coaching as needed
8) Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance
feedback. Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed.
9) Collection of HR metrics, analysis of the data, properly collating it, reporting and identification of
trends.
10) Conducts training programs as required.
11) Assure legal compliance with OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, ADA and federal and state laws.

a) Education: Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and
experience
b) Experience: At least 5 years HR generalist experience preferably in a manufacturing
environment
c) Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP Preferred
d) Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed in an office environment with
frequent contact with others. Requires prolonged sitting, the ability to distinguish letters
and numbers, occasional lifting, and the use of office equipment. Must have an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Equipment:
Knowledge of and skills in the use of office equipment and computer programs such as Word and
Excel.
Work Environment:
Most job functions are performed in an office environment, with occasionally in and around the
