COLD-LINK LOGISTICS AUBURNDALE & ORLANDO HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
*Note this position can be based out of one facility but also must make site visits to the other facility.*
Cold-Link Logistics is a rapidly growing Warehousing and Logistics Company built on Family Values. Based out of South Florida, we are committed to building a great team to serve our customers’ needs with innovative cold storage warehousing and distribution solutions. The Cold-Link Logistics network has 6 facilities throughout the US. Two of those facilities are located in Central Florida in Apopka and Orlando.
We are actively recruiting for an experience Human Resource Manager to oversee all Human Resource activities at both of our Central Florida locations. The Human Resource Manager will report directly to the General Managers of each site, with direct support from the Corporate Human Resources Director.
This role will provide human resource leadership to the operational leaders and employees to accomplish the operational goals of the facility. They will establish a culture of positive employee relations where all managers and employees are engaged in the success of the business. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring all policies, processes, and federal, state, and local regulations are adhered to consistently. This position will provide human leadership to departments when rolling out company wide initiatives and new policies and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Manages recruiting and pre-employment activities, including the management of external recruiting efforts, online recruiting media, job fairs, internal job postings, applicant screening and testing, background and drug screens, making hiring recommendations, coordinating any third-party contract staffing relationships, maintain all documentation required to meet customer, Company and governmental regulations.
- Lead payroll activities, including the timely and accurate processing of weekly/bi-weekly payroll, attendance tracking, wage administration, and any required reports.
- Support site leadership in the confidential coordination of HR relations matters, including making recommendations to site leadership as required to be compliant with Cold-Link Logistics policies, that fair and legal human resource practices are followed, as well as the accurate and timely investigating, monitoring, documenting, and reporting of all activities.
- Manages HR record keeping and reporting activities, including maintaining confidential HR personnel files in accordance with Federal and State laws.
- Manage Employee Performance Management programs, including the development of Goals & Objectives and Performance Evaluations. Recommends progressive disciplinary actions and supports the performance management and coaching process.
- Initiate, coordinate and support employee training and development activities as assigned, including new hire orientation, annual refresher, ongoing certifications, completing and monitoring of training records and documentation as required.
- Coordinate and support Employee-related and team building events and functions, including incentive programs, summer picnic, team lunches, and others.
- Initiate, coordinate and monitor communications as assigned to effectively support operations, including communication to/from the local site and other Cold-Link locations, creating employee memos and customer correspondence, monitoring and updating communication boards, site newsletter, coordinating and delivering of Cold-Link Logistics Corporate HR communications.
- Other HR duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required
- 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles
- 3+ years of experience in Labor Relations and Employee Relations
- SHRM or other Human Resource Certification preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, payroll, benefits, training, employee labor policy and administrative support systems.
- Experienced with basic office functions and equipment. Above average proficiency using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to handle all information with the highest degree of confidentiality, displaying trust, integrity, and professionalism in all actions.
- Strong planning, organizing and independent problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to handle multiple priorities or areas of work simultaneously.
- Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, and to relate to all people in a positive, informative and cooperative way.
- Effectively communicate verbally, including speaking effectively with individuals and before groups of people.
- Effectively communicate in writing, including concepts and information required for daily business activities. Ability to read and interpret documents such as HR laws, policies, safety rules, operating and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write routine reports and business correspondence.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
- Will be required to travel to both facilities. Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
- Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -20 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
