JOB SUMMARY: Human Resources interns provide valuable support to an organization's mission, values, and goals. The HR Intern will perform various administrative tasks and support the HR Department and Organization's daily activities. The HR Internship role offers practical experience to students or recent graduates in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and administrative tasks. HR Interns gain insight into HR processes and contribute to essential functions while learning valuable skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting (10%):
- Assists in talent selection by reviewing applications, setting up interviews, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
- Communicates with multiple departments/stakeholders throughout the recruiting process.
Administrative Tasks (60%):
- Maintains HR personnel record keeping system including electronic and paper files.
- Posts and updates job ads from job boards, careers pages, and social networks.
- Writes employee communications and correspondence about updates in HR polices.
- Processes reports and paperwork as needed. Communicates potential issues to appropriate people of interest.
- Assists the Human Resources Manager in administrative tasks.
Customer Service (20%):
- Answers and directs incoming calls Human Resources and Benefits.
- Responds to associate questions regarding their eligible benefits.
Other Duties (10%):
- Collaborates on HR-related special projects/reports as needed.
- Participates and assists in career days and company social and networking events.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printer.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently completing degree in Human Resources Management or similar field, or recently graduated.
- Familiarity with ADP or similar HRIS preferred, as well as resume databases such as Indeed.
- Experience with MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Good understanding of full-cycle recruiting.
- Organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to visualize and analyze situations for potential conflicts of interest or errors.
