Human Resources Generalist

We are looking for someone to join our Human Resources team. The Human Resources Generalist will provide administrative support to one or more Human Resources functions, including employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, training, equal employment opportunity, and employee records. This is a detail-oriented position and requires good communication and time management skills. This position reports the Human Resources Manager as well as the VP of Human Resources.

Work Schedule;
Days - Monday to Friday
Hours - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative

• Administrate health and welfare plans, including enrollment and terminations.
• Process monthly billings from insurance providers.
• Complete reports for Management as requested.
• Participate in outreach programs within the community as needed.
• Prepare reports related to EEO compliance and/or other HR functions.
• Revise, edit and proofread company policies and procedures and related documents as needed.
• Assist in safety related training.
• Assist payroll and temporary worker labor processing.
• Assist HR Director with various research and/or special projects.
• Demonstrate tact and diplomacy while maintaining discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee data.

Employee Relations

• Assist in exit interviews as needed.
• Ensure employee understanding of benefits programs and policies.
• Assist with planning and execution of special events as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of experience in related field.
• Experience administering employee benefits, including health & welfare and 401(k).
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Goal oriented with excellent follow-up and follow-through.
• Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to multitask.
• Strong people skills.
• Experience in Microsoft products.
• May be asked to travel to other locations to assist in HR related functions.
