Human Resources Data Analyst
Position Summary: Supports HR Projects, Programs, and Data / Reporting requirements. Investigate issues and collaboratively solve problems.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Essential functions and responsibilities:
· Supports HR program implementations and initiatives for compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, and training areas.
· Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to find trends, patterns, and insights that support HR initiatives and business aims.
· Develop and keep HR analytics dashboards and reports, using tools such as Excel, HRIS, and data visualization software.
· Collaborate with the HR team to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
· Prepare and deliver assigned federal and state reporting and filings (ex. California Pay Data, EEO-1, etc.)
· Implement methodologies and tools to perfect HR processes. (ex. Templates, Project Planning & Tracking)
· Conduct audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy within HR systems and databases.
· Find and propose process improvements for data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Support the development and maintenance of HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Analyze workforce data, including turnover rates, employee engagement, performance metrics, and diversity and inclusion data.
· Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting support to HR and business leaders as needed.
· Stay updated on HR data trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance data analysis capabilities.
· Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in all data analysis and reporting activities.
· Support LMS administration.
Qualifications required:
· 4-7 years of related experience
· Strong Technical - HRIS / Payroll Systems skills (Ceridian or Workday)
· Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyze complex datasets.
· Advanced Excel & Report Writing skills (including V-Lookup & Pivot Tables)
· Strong understanding of HR processes, metrics, and best practices
· Familiarity with HR systems and databases, and the ability to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
· Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a challenging environment.
· Proven record of handling Projects as assigned to successful completion.
Education required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Overtime: As needed – at times may be significant
