Human Resources/Credentialing Coordinator

Position Summary
Working within a team environment, the Human Resources/Credentialing Coordinator will provide administrative functions for the Family Practice & Counseling Network (FPCN)Human Resources Department. These activities will vary but are largely in support of general HR administration and credentialing activities to provide consistent, accurate, and timely support, enhancing the Network’s ability to provide healthcare services. This position interfaces with all levels of stakeholders, internally and externally, of the network. Supports and engages candidates, at all levels, in a respectful and professional manner that maintains the dignity of the individual.
Essential Duties and Functions
Human Resources
- Support to the Director of Human Resource and Engagement and the Human Resources Generalist administratively.
- Support the development of Human Resource strategies for FPCN.
- Support and champion RHD Corporate and FPCN’s Network values.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the onboarding process of FPCN new hires, students and volunteers, including background clearances; document collection in preparation for New Hire Orientation; maintenance of employee files and records; and accurate follow-up communications.
- Monitor HR group email boxes and respond to general inquiries as needed.
- Produces Department and assist with HR projects and special assignments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Credentialing
- Support to the Director of Financial Operations with billable credentialing.
- Maintains ongoing communication with clinical providers regarding credentialing status and need for additional information to ensure that all credentialing & enrollment requirements are met.
- Responsible for all aspects of the privileging and credentialing process for FPCN providers in accordance with FQHC and NCQA standards and applicable federal, state laws, and all FPCN requirements.
- Perform accurate, timely and documented verification of the information provided by the provider and maintenance of the highly confidential credentialing related files.
- Create and facilitate completion of clinician applications.
- Process credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
- Maintains compliance with documentation standards for verification of employee credentialing requirements, including but not limited to licenses, certifications, registrations, permits, educational degrees, association memberships, malpractice coverage, and other required credentialing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Administrative
- Serve as an Administrator for FPCN’s internal & external credentialing systems.
- Support administration of FPCN’s training and other HRIS systems.
- Tracks and maintains copies of current credentialing documents for provider files.
- Update CAQH database with quarterly attestations, updating credentialing documents as needed/required.
- Provides Monthly Reports relative to HR & Credentialing Metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (BS/BA), plus 1 year work experience in Healthcare Administration OR Associates Degree (AS/AA), plus 3 years work experience in Health Care Administration
- Human Resources experience; and/or Credentialing experience, required.
- Knowledge of general Human Resources employment practices.
- Knowledge of provider credentialing criteria and processes in accordance with NCQA.
- Knowledge of NPDB guidelines and general licensing regulations.
- Familiarity with community health centers that have both medical and dental practices, preferably in a FQHC.
- Professional and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload priorities to meet critical deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, Video Conference/Collaboration Tools, along with proprietary database applications.
- Ability to work professionally, independently and/or collaboratively as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of standards of the Health Resources and Services Administration, Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), NCQA, federal and state regulations, and other organizations as applicable.

Family Practice & Counseling Network (FPCN), a program in the City of Philadelphia, are required to follow the COVID vaccine mandate for healthcare workers per Philadelphia Department of Public Health. FPCN requires Healthcare Workers to be fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means it has been two weeks since the final dose of vaccine. Thus, we require vaccination prior to start for all new hires. This currently does not include boosters.
