Butler Machinery is in search of an efficient and organized HR Coordinator to join our growing HR team! The HR Coordinator will provide support to the Human Resources Department. He or she will assist in a broad range of functions including talent management, policy and procedure tracking, benefits, and various project work. Pay scale starts at $20/hour and is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assists Benefit Manager with various benefits items including benefits enrollments and changes, and the company Wellness Program
- Assists with employee recruiting and onboarding processes, including creating offer letters and ensuring onboarding is completed by new hires
- Assists with company workflows (both new hire and term) and updating HRIS system
- Maintains personnel records, including filing and scanning, and compiles reports as needed
- Assists with new hire orientations
- Codes invoices
- Maintains I-9 records and helps coordinate and complete E-Verify process
- Assists with various HR audits
- Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in HR or other business related field required
- 1-2 years of HR experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employee information
- Knowledge of HR practices and procedures, and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced working environment
- Ability to be resourceful when you don’t know the answer
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record
