Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Human Resources Compliance Manager to join our team. This position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will join the HR team and support various compliance objectives including implementing and updating policies, performing compliance risk assessments, and compliance reporting. The Compliance Manager will be primarily responsible for managing the compliance framework within our organization. This position is hybrid/remote located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
What will you be doing?
This position will be a key member of the Human Resources team. Duties include:
- Creating, reviewing, modifying, and implementing policies and procedures related to the organizations business activities
- Maintaining employee handbooks, operations manuals, and safety manuals
- Coordinating the ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure compliance requirements are being met
- Managing the safety committee and OSHA compliance
- Remaining up to date on federal and state laws related to the organization and updating policies accordingly
- Communicating compliance policies and guidelines as they change
- Designing methods for reporting and dealing with compliance items when they occur
- Developing risk management strategies
- Assisting with company acquisition compliance and HR needs
- Supporting the company’s compensation framework and practices
- Involvement with company audits such as SOC, ISO, AAP, OSHA, workers’ compensation, energetics, and pay equity
- Collaborate with HR, legal counsel, corporate team members and other company managers and employees within the company
- Other duties as assigned and needed to support Human Resources department
What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?
This position will require the following skillsets and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4-7 years of related experience
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills and able to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking skills and ability to interpret policies and regulatory documents
- Ability to collaborate, work in team environment and build partnerships with multiple business units
- Proven ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation
- Risk mitigation skills
- Experience with employee handbooks, procedure manuals, workplace safety, workers’ compensation, OSHA standards, Affirmative Action Plans, compensation platforms, ISO certifications
- Knowledge and experience in government industry’s standards and regulations preferred
