The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. You learn and understand the business perspective of the internal stakeholders that you are supporting and their needs. The role assesses and anticipates Human Resources related needs and seeks to develop integrated solutions.
You are nimble, customer centric, accurate with attention to details, have labor law knowledge and ability to translate business plans and goals into Human Resources capabilities needed to achieve results.
You formulate partnerships to deliver value-added service and to enhance the internal customer experience.

The position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and in the Alexandria, MN area.
Responsibilities:
- Manage employee relations with grace, compassion, and integrity.
- Apply analytical rigor to dive deep and report on People trends, developing action plans to proactively address concerns.
- Participate in the implementation of change management plans, continuous improvement projects and exercise influence over various partners within the Company.
- Maintain deep understanding of employment law, compliance programs, stay up to date on current events, operationalize policy and provide guidance to leaders and employees.
- Meet regularly with the business leaders to identify critical and operational Human Resources and business issues and opportunities, understanding needs and perspectives and work on solutions in partnership with the stakeholders.
- Take ownership and drive executional excellence in areas such as: workforce planning, onboarding and integration, diversity, talent assessment, career and talent development, rewards and recognition, succession planning, compensation, policy interpretation and application, discipline, administration, compliance and offboarding in service to a positive employee experience.
- Develop, iterate, and execute the company people strategy with the business groups - one which is connected to the company, business, and Human Resources team objectives.
- Works closely with management and employees to enhance the engagement level, increase productivity and retention.
- Build strong, respectful relationships and overcome challenges.
- Provides day-to-day talent management guidance and support to line management in areas such: Coaching, counseling, conflict resolution, career development, conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations disciplinary actions.
- Maintain the Human Resources data (HRIS, Employee file, other databases used by the department current).
- Contribute to the improvement processes in the Human Resources function.
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the company.
General:
- Performs all duties in compliance with and enforces all applicable legal and ethical standards including, Massman's policies and procedures, country laws and regulations, Federal and States Laws, policies and standards.
- Maintains security of all proprietary information.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as necessity dictates.
