Job description

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCESS ASSISTANT (INFORMATION SYSTEMS) in the Total Force Management Program Office of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMANDQualifications: For GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience can be defined as:

  • Experience processing complex personnel actions accurately in accordance with rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Experience utilizing Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Defense Civilian Personnel Data System, as well as other INFORMATION SYSTEMS tools.
  • Experience utilizing/interpreting OPM guide to Processing Personnel Actions, DCPDS User's Manuel, DCPDS Tables and List of Values.
  • Experience establishing and/or maintaining electronic Official Personnel Folders.

For GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience can be defined as:
  • Experience applying a personnel processing rules, procedures, and operations in a Human Resources automated system.
  • Experience processing a full range of recurring career-conditional, career, temporary, limited appointments, separations, position, and pay changes.
  • Experience assisting with maintaining electronic Official Personnel Folders and utilizing Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and DCPDS.
  • Experience applying specialized personnel methods, regulations, principles and concepts.

  • Successful completion of 4 years of education above high school. (Transcript must be provided.)
