Tharanco Group is seeking a Human Resources Specialist based in Secaucus, NJ to facilitate benefits management, employment related claims, offboarding, payroll prep, and support other HR projects.
Tharanco Group designs, sources, and sells Men’s (Golf Apparel, Dress Shirts, Active/Outdoor Apparel) and Women’s (Dresses, Sweater & Knit Tops) apparel to major retailers and boutiques/pro-shops in the US and through its own Direct to Consumer channels (Ecommerce & Retail Stores). This position will work 4 days/week from our Secaucus, NJ office and 1 day from home. We offer a comprehensive set of benefits, from Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, FSA and others.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Benefits Management (including but not limited to)
- Health Benefits Enrollment
- Voluntary Benefits Enrollment
- 401K Enrollement
- Commuter Benefits
- Oversee Annual Open Enrollment
- Cobra Management
- Audit/Reconcile Monthly Benefit Invoices
- Help Desk for Employees/Applicants on Benefits
- Employment Claims (including but not limited to)
- FMLA Leave Management & Claims
- Short Term and Long Term Disability Claims
- Workman’s Comp Claims
- Unemployment Claims
- Payroll Support (including but not limited to)
- Audit Hourly Employee Hours and Finalize Pay Hours for Payroll Department
- Update Payroll Changes, including Benefits Deductions
- Off Bording Terminated Employees (including but not limited to)
- Update HIRS System & Employee File.
- Coordinate with Appropriate Departments (IT, Payroll, etc.)
- Cobra Notifications/Enrollment
- Admin
- Maintain Master Files (for all changes)
- Prepare Employment Verification Letters
- Liaison with External Benefit Providers
- Assist Execs with Benefits as Needed
- Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (related work experience will be considered in lieu of relevant degree),
- Minimum of 3 years experience supporting a Human Resources division, with direct experience supporting benefits & payroll,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Excellent organizational/prioritization skills and attention to detail,
- Ability to accept & manage direction from multiple members of the C Suite Executives,
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 per year.
