To be a successful Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Specialist you will embody GBSI's core employee characteristics ofbeing passionate about IT, taking full ownership of your work & having a growth mindset. Additionally, you will exhibit strategic vision, thoughtful engagement, strong analytical/process skills, a bias for action, and the ability to partner with senior operational leaders.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities:

• Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
• Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
• Serve as the lead trainer to develop curriculum modules and facilitate HRIS training to directors, managers, HR staff and other employees, as needed.
• Partner with AVP of HR to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions of potential systems for the departments.
• Manages Banner Enterprise System and HRIS enterprise system (recruitment and employee database) to generate annual reports and other requests, as needed.
• Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
• Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
• Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, Information Technology, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
• Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
• Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.

What qualifications you need:

• Bachelors in Information Technology / Masters in Information Technology
