How the Role Fits in:
Working with the managers and director in the department, the Intern will provide support to the HR Team at Marina View, with some support to our other HR sites. Included are interactions with the HR team members, employees, vendors, and senior management.
The Main Purpose of the Role:
The internship will focus on supporting various initiatives and objectives within the department.
Examples include assisting our Workforce Development team in training development and implementation, helping develop a new internal Careers site for Olefins & Polymers USA employees, and coordinating with Recruiting various interns and onboarding activities.

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities
- Assist the Human Resources team in special projects or issues as needed
- Assists with communications and meetings with select employee groups
- Gains experience in dealing with employees and managers at all levels with inquiries ranging from policy interpretation to performance
- Acquires basic knowledge of regulations and manages non-complex HR-related employee requests
- Troubleshoot and resolve employee and system issues
- Assist with Family/Medical Leave Act processing, Personal Development Plans & Affirmative Action Plans including audits, reporting, and filing
- Assist with efforts to transition files to an electronic system
- Present a summary of internship activities, learnings, etc., to management at the end of internship
- Effectively communicate with senior management and our customers
- The position is accountable for understanding and putting into practice the INEOS 20 Principles.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Education/Experience
Level of Education & Experience in general
- Working toward a Bachelor's degree in HR, business, economics, communications, or any of the STEM fields
- 3.0 or greater GPA out of 4.0 is required
- Must have completed the sophomore year
