DigitalJ2 is looking for an Onboarding Specialist and Consultant to add to our team! We are looking for an individual that has experience with MarTech, a strategic and problem-solving mindset, an understanding of the principles of digital marketing, a strong foundation in CRMs, and a knack for being able to train others.

In a nutshell: If you’re able to problem solve, understand the why of digital marketing and how to use a CRM effectively, and can explain it to others, then we are looking for you.

Job Role Description:

As a HubSpot Onboarding Specialist, you will guide customers through HubSpot software setup, tool training, and initial campaign planning.

A successful candidate will have at least five years of digital marketing experience and at least two years of hands-on HubSpot or other marketing automation platform experience. We’re looking for motivated and enthusiastic team members who are good communicators, enjoy teaching or consulting others and don’t necessarily care for the execution of campaigns. In this role, you will be advising clients on tasks, not doing them. You will be navigating your clients as they do the heavy lifting with execution.

Responsibilities

  • Train and educate customers on how to use the HubSpot platform.
  • Provide strategic guidance (which can involve problem solving) for the customers to effectively utilize HubSpot tools for their specific businesses and use cases.
  • Explain key concepts and inbound marketing best practices.
  • Ensure all customers complete the required technical setup efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Begin to strategize and launch growth-oriented campaigns with your customers.
  • Stay up to date on product changes or beta programs in the HubSpot dashboard.

Onboarding specialists must be able to:

  • Circus-level juggle: You will be managing the onboarding process for multiple clients.
  • Deliver product training sessions via web conference software: We might be remote, but we still have to roll out of bed and get our faces in front of a camera (you can blame Zoom).
  • Jigsaw-level problem solve: Each customer has needs that are unique to their business and sometimes that means you have to map out how the tools in the platform can be used to meet those needs in an effective manner, even if it’s not how the platform is designed to be used (essentially, workarounds should be your love language!).
  • Be the customer’s HubSpot Sensei: You will be guiding and empowering customers with best practices & how-to's in regards to the HubSpot platform. Like a prophet but much less culty.
  • Google Translate: By this we mean that you have to be able to take complex topics and break them down into simple, easy to understand concepts, via great verbal communication, visuals, or even smoke signals (if you can teach marketing automation via smoke signals, you’re automatically hired).
  • Know why you’re teaching customers these things: You must understand the inbound methodology.
  • Herd cats: Customers will throw you all kinds of questions and may want to focus on things that would take them off track in terms of meeting their goals. You will have to be able to corral them back on track.
  • Be resourceful: The platform is a beast and we don’t expect you to know every little thing about it (not even the folks at HubSpot can claim that– probably). BUT, you have to know how to go find the information.

Past Experience + Skills

  • 5+ years working in a digital marketing environment
  • 2+ years of direct HubSpot experience or another automation tool
  • Strong project management & client consultation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • HubSpot Software certifications (marketing software & sales software)
  • Experience working with small - to mid-sized B2B clients
  • Comfortable with MarTech and the technical aspects of digital marketing
  • Have experience in training/teaching others

Additional Details

Position type: Remote - full time

PTO: Unlimited PTO (as long as you can stay on top of your work and are not abusing the policy)

Salary: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year with opportunity to earn additional bonuses through the company’s profit sharing program
