PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Has the primary goal of helping each participant achieve a fundamental level of skill, an appreciation for the value of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
- Works with head coach to guide individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the activity involved.
- Works with head coach to schedule a regular program of practice in season.
- Works with the other coaches to provide that the safety condition of the facility or area in which the assigned activity is conducted at all times students are present.
- Works with the other coaches to enforce sportsmanship behavior at all times and establishes penalties for breech of such standards.
- Is responsible for supervision on all away trips (motel and bus behavior) and insuring that busses used are cleaned up at the completion of each trip.
- Assumes responsibility to keep coaching, training, and storage rooms clean and presentable.
- Works with the recruitment of students for participation.
- Adhere to Washakie County School District No. 1 School Board and Activities Department policies and procedures.
- Will be responsible for obtaining all WHSAA information through a manual or on-line; knowing the rules and regulations covering their activity as established by the Wyoming High School Activities Association and Washakie County School District No. 1 policy.
- Certification: It is the employee's responsibility to maintain the proper coaching certifications throughout employment at Washakie County School District No. 1.
