SUMMARY

Drives truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations and operates a forklift for the general purpose of stacking, and organizing casting products in yard, as well as loading and unloading trucks as assigned by performing the following duties. Local deliveries, Monday thru Friday, 40-hour work week, no weekends, occasional overtime

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.

• Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees have an understanding of the safety expectations of the organization.
• Safely load, secure, and deliver construction castings to jobsites.
• Safely assist customers with the loading and unloading of material.
• Recognize product and assist in the gathering, inspection and loading of material for pick-up customers and deliveries.
• Maintain delivery/receiving/inventory paperwork and records as needed.
• Operates a forklift to handle inventory, stack, load, and unload product in a safe, efficient manner.
• Inventory Control:  Receives and unloads inventory from incoming trucks. Helps organize/maintain yard inventory and inspects product to insure quality.
• Maintains electronic truck log, according to state and federal guidelines.
• Performs inspection checks on all vehicles.
• Load securement of product on trucks and trailers per FMCSA requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent, and two or more years of safety-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 21 years of age
• Class A CDL with clean driving record
• DOT Medical Card
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
• Must be able to drive manual transmission
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds
• Must be highly reliable and dependable
