JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for supporting system administration, including Lawson setup, day-to-day maintenance, and review, processing new hire information, reviewing for data integrity, running reports, assisting with mass data loading and inputting, conversions, and providing HRIS support to TeamHealth Lawson HR, HR WebForms, and other HR systems. It also participates in the design, development, and implementation of the HCM system (Global HR).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains Lawson HRIS data integrity following workflow and quality assurance expectations and following established processes. May conduct audits to ensure accuracy and consistency; may act as a liaison between the HR Services team, Payroll, Benefits, and the Human Resources Department, as needed. Assists with projects such as mass data changes and basic reporting.
  • Performs system setup, changes, or updates for department codes, position codes, supervisor codes, etc, in Lawson HR.
  • Reviews Lawson maintenance processed throughout each day, primarily in the HRIS mailbox.
  • Performs new hire uploads via HR WebForms and Lawson HR.
  • Processes daily tasks to ensure data integrity.
  • Creates and processes load files for updates after planning discussions, utilizing Lawson system add-ins via Microsoft Excel.
  • As needed, conduct history corrections to employee demographic and/or job information.
  • Assists HRIS team members and management with Lawson HR and HR WebForms upgrades, system changes, new processes, and other related activities.
  • May provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis of employee information, including custom reports for Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting/Finance, Operations, Business Units, Executive Reporting, etc.
  • Assists with HR Systems training for end users or staff members as needed.
  • Participates in auditing Lawson data and makes corrections and revisions as needed
  • May participate in appropriate professional organizations (Lawson User Group, etc.).
  • Completes special projects and tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • A secondary education degree with business and/or technical coursework is preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered instead of a degree.
  • One to two years of experience with Lawson or Oracle-based HRIS, with emphasis in human resources and benefits administration, preferred but not required (experience with HR/Payroll systems is a plus)
  • Highly trainable and comfortable with complexity and change
  • Enjoys an analytical approach to solving problems
  • Comfortable working with multiple data sets and systems
  • Excellent computer/technical skills (especially MS Excel Outlook)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle challenging situations and meet deadlines
  • Customer service oriented; has a customer service approach and an ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of staff
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organization skills (verbal/written)

 

PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Job performed in a well-lighted, modern office setting
  • Occasional lifting/carrying (20 pounds or less)
  • Occasional standing/bending/stooping/reaching
  • Prolonged sitting
  • Prolonged work on a computer/PC
  • Occasional travel.

This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, and fax), and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, it may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule, and/or more than five days per week.
